The medieval Europe and Asia cultures coexist in the Ancient Tales fantasy world. It is filled with magic and different technologies. The world is engulfed in war between the alliance of humans, dwarves, elves against the race of alves for domination over the world.
Alves were experts in magic and a driving force of the whole magical civilization. However, that power became their undoing. Their number was low due to the low birth rate. The success of the Alves made the other races envious, and the kingdom of magical inventors was outnumbered and destroyed.
This race is similar to humans in the real world. Humans in Ancient Tale appear with a variety of skin, eye, and hair colors. Their ability stats are well balanced, making them the most commonly-chosen race.
Dwarves are a humanoid race with a strong physical build. They can be usually met in the mountains, and often become ironsmiths, miners, fighters. Dwarves are characterized by high stamina and magical resistance.
A long-lived race that is found among forests and ancient ruins around the world. This race excels in archery and has an advantage in terms of willpower-related stats. They are characterized physically by their long, pointy ears.
Half-Alves appeared because of the intermarriages between Humans and Alves, who were unusually strong in magic and were destroyed by an ancient war. Survived Alves were enslaved by Humans, that's how Half-Alves appeared. They also have a bonus to magic.
The time of day is significant! During the night and day sequence, the resources, monsters' power and activity change, even new monsters can appear. One day-night cycle lasts for four hours in Ancient Tales.
Players can create a unique character by customizing its initial appearance and such features as its voice. It may influence on the character's temper, dialogues, food choice, etc.
Reputation affects the relationship between the player and the outside world, unlocks new tasks, events and dialogues. Besides, it influences on the economy of the game.
NPCs live their lives, travel, always update goods, pave trade routes. They are absolutely unlike those animated statues that we are used to in other MMORPGs.
You can buy houses, mines and other farming units. You can open your own shop and furnish it with different shop windows. There are lands buying, houses and fortresses building at your disposal. Also you can restore ancient ruins here.

Lack of recources and gold makes the players think about the methods of getting the income. <p>Naturally, a player can buy a house or land, build a workshop or a store there. Also, there are various mining enterprises as real estate - sawmills, shafts, mines, etc.</p>
There are four archetypes in the game: Warrior, Vagabond, Healer and Mage. Every archetype is divided into three classes, and players can choose any of them. In Ancient Tales, the archetype is selected when creating the character, it cannot be changed later.
